Devon County Show - Day One - 2022

The Devonshire Provincial Membership Team have returned to the Devon County Show and were joined by the Ian Kingsbury Provincial Grand Master, Charlie Yelland Assistant Provincial Grand Master and Colin Gale Past Assistant Provincial Grand Master.

Even with the ever unpredictable Devon summer weather, which brought the rain forcing the show visitors undercover, the team still spoke to 1,878 members of the public, 2 migrating brethren, 1 Brother wishing to return to Freemasonry and a number of people wishing to understand more about Freemasonry.

Day two of the Devon County Show & a good day was had by all the team. Weaver, Densham, Goode, Sidwell, Millar, Lewis and Rowlands of the Membership Team, were joined by Althea Delbeidge, Aileen Nott and Hannah Furneaux-Gotch of the Order of Womens Freemasonry. They had a successful day raising awareness of Freemasonry whilst speaking to 2,373 members of the public.

This puts our running total for public engagement this year at 4,631 conversations. Luckily, the tea flowed and ice cream was taken to sooth the sore throats.

We also met visiting Masons from Canada, Texas, Yorkshire & Leicestershire.

The team are looking forward to a bumper day tomorrow, weather permitting of course.
