South Wales Freemasons have provided support to Llanishen Fach Primary School, with a grant towards their Special Resource Base (Dosbarth Enfys)
The school is specifically for children who have been diagnosed with a broad spectrum of physical, medical and learning difficulties. The grant will assist the school in adapting the classroom as well as their resources to suit the children’s varying conditions.
The continuation of this class relies on the support of the council, but the success of the class is greatly enhanced by the generosity of the community. The school has a wide and varied list of ideas to improve the facility, which includes improving the access to the outdoor area for wheel chairs, providing some new equipment for this outdoor area and lastly developing their new sensory room.
Head Teacher Sarah Coombes thanked South Wales Freemasons for their generosity and support and looks forward to updating them on the improvements to Dosbarth Enfys shortly.
Robert Payne, South Wales Freemason Charity Officer, added: ‘I was delighted to visit the school and see first-hand the great environment created by the school staff and the fun and enjoyment the pupils were experiencing.
'I am so pleased South Wales Freemasons have been able to provide this grant.’
