Members of Cambria Meridian Lodge of Installed Masters No. 9876 visited Rhyl Men’s Shed to donate £2,000 including £1,100 from North Wales Freemasons Charity to further their ongoing community support during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Cambria Meridian Lodge based at Elwy Hall, Rhyl, was established in November 2012 and meet quarterly. Whilst unable to meet, it was decided they would reach out to help a local charity.

John Charles Hoult, Provincial Grand Master, said 'We are delighted to support Rhyl Men’s Shed in Wellington Road. During these difficult times, we hope our £2,000 contribution will allow the group to continue their excellent work in the area.'

Shane Owen, Chairperson of Rhyl Men’s Shed describes how the donation will be put to good use, 'We provide a safe, supportive & friendly environment for men, women & children of all ages, backgrounds and capabilities to gather together and potter, tend the garden and poly-tunnel, do woodwork, craft and art projects, IT projects, or whatever else we are interested in. We can learn, pass on knowledge, chat and make new friends or catch up with old ones. We are extremely grateful to North Wales Freemasons for this generous donation.'
