The Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre in Chippenham has become the repository of lodge records dating back hundreds of years. Three lodges from the Province of Wiltshire became the latest to place their records in the hands of Tom Craig, Head of Heritage and Arts, and Claire Skinner, Principal Archivist at the Centre.
Ten lodges and one Royal Arch chapter have now archived their record books at the Centre. The earliest dated record book included in the 100% return from Wiltshire was a minute book from the erased The Three Lions Lodge, No. 109. The book dates from 17 January 1732 to 19 August 1767.
