Buckinghamshire masons have raised £2,639,403 during their five-year Festival for the Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys. The total was announced in the Grand Temple at Freemasons’ Hall, London, in the presence of the Pro Grand Master Peter Lowndes, Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys (RMTGB) President Mike Woodcock and Chief Executive Les Hutchinson.
The event was witnessed by hundreds of masons, their ladies and dignitaries, including the chairman of Buckinghamshire County Council. Around 1,000 masons and their guests were also present for the Investiture of Provincial Officers and the presentation of the iHelp community awards to young people in the Province.
The work of the RMTGB was underlined by outstanding performances from musicians Tristram Cooke, an RMTGB TalentAid recipient and his brother Tom, a singer. Their mother, Ruth, said that because the RMTGB had supported one son, they had been able to help the other.
