Norfolk Dermatology unit receives helping hand from Freemasons

Friday, 25 August 2017

Members of Norwich-based Naval and Military Lodge No. 3678 have donated £600 to the Dermatology and Skin Cancer Unit at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital

The money was raised through a series of social events throughout the year, including a carol service and race nights.

The unit was chosen for the donation after a number of members of the lodge were treated at the hospital for skin ailments. The money will be used to assist with non-NHS funded patient support and advancing healthcare education.

In presenting the cheque to nurses from the Dermatology Unit, Senior Warden Chris Spinks commented: 'Several members of the Lodge have been treated by the team at this hospital and we wanted to say thank you by raising money for them.

'The nurses are wonderful and the care they give is exceptional.'
