Mystery Of The Clay Pipe

Wednesday, 01 September 2010
Brendan Morland was working in his garden when he came across an old clay pipe with the square and compasses engraved on it. There is also a crescent moon surrounded by six stars and a sun on the right upper area.
He says: ‘I found it one week before I went through my third degree at Eardulph Lodge, No. 6645 at Chester-le-Street in the Province of Durham. I wonder if anyone could shed some light on this is unusual find.’
