On 12th January 2019, history was made in Bologna, with the consecration of Loggia Nettuno No. 292, under the Regular Grand Lodge of Italy – the first new Stability lodge in almost 35 years and the very first outside of England
The event took place in the Teatro San Leonardo in the historical centre of Bologna and was well-attended, with many foreign delegates travelling to Bologna to offer their support to this momentous occasion. Many were accompanied by their wives and partners, and the hosts kindly arranged for entertainment during the day while the consecration took place.
Non-masonic guests were invited to join a local guide in exploring the history and culture of the ancient city. After a busy day, attendees returned to their rooms to ready themselves for the evening.
That night the Teatro San Leonardo played host to a fabulous Bolognese charity ball with both the Regular Grand Lodge of Italy Grandmaster, Fabio Venzi, and the Provincial Grand Master, Giuliano Zamboni, in attendance.
The evening raised an impressive €3,000 for the charity ‘Il Sentiero dello Gnomo’, which provides much needed supplies to local families with infants struggling and in need of help.
