Grand Charity's £50,000 for Audio Library

Monday, 01 March 2010

The Freemasons’ Grand Charity has donated £50,000 to the Calibre Audio Library, based at Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire. The presentation was made by Provincial Grand Master Ray Reed, to Calibre director Michael Lewington and chairman Martin Findlay.

Ray Reed said: “We are delighted to support the important work Calibre does. The money will help them towards the cost of converting the library into digital format. The Grand Charity is the main charitable organisation of English freemasonry, and provides grants to both masonic and non-masonic organisations.”

Calibre is a national charity which lends audio books to around 20,000 members across the UK, Ireland and other EU countries. Its members range in age from five to 105.
