Friday, 07 March 2014

Middlesex based charity Aspire has received £35,000 from The Freemasons’ Grand Charity to upgrade their Assistive Technology Centres across the UK

Aspire uses their Assistive Technology Centres to support the rehabilitation of spinal injury patients. The aim of the Programme is to increase their patients’ independence, improve their health and reduce their feelings of isolation.

Speaking about the donation Brian Carlin, Aspire Chief Executive said: 'We are absolutely delighted to be receiving such a substantial grant from The Freemasons’ Grand Charity, as it will enable us to proceed with a much needed upgrade of Aspire’s Assistive Technology facilities.

'Technology is changing all the time and it is essential that our equipment and expertise is up to date. With these funds, we will be able to ensure that our Assistive Technology team is aware of the latest solutions and that the equipment we offer is compatible with mainstream devices. Thanks to the generosity of the Grand Charity, Aspire can continue to be at the forefront of organisations improving the independence of those with spinal cord injuries.'
